Who wants a quick, easy, and super healthy snack for yourself and your family?! Lots of people get intimidated to make kale chips and I understand why, but they're actually quite easy to make. You'll love the nutrition and crunch these chips provide and best yet, the financial savings. A little box of kale chips at Whole Foods can cost up to $6! That's outrageous! We can buy a bunch of kale for $2 and get the same amount when we make it at home. This is a win-win for our physical, mental, and financial wellbeing! Woot woot!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 head of kale
- 2 Tbsp melted coconut oil
- Sprinkle with Himalayan Salt
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Pull kale away from stem, wash and pat dry with a clean towel.
- In a large mixing bowl using your hands, mix the kale, coconut oil and sea salt together.
- Lay kale out in a single layer on a parchment-lined cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Check to see how they're doing. If they're still soft, continue baking, checking every 5 minutes until crispy.
- Allow to cool and then devour!
