Mornings can be a blur and because of that I like to have quick healthy recipes on hand for breakfast. This grain free, vegan "oatmeal" is perfect for those mornings you're in a hurry, but want something warm and nourishing to start your day.
Due to the combination of seeds in this breakfast, you will be nourishing your mind and body with high levels of Omega 3's which are key to fighting inflammation and promoting optimal health!
Ingredients:
2 tbsp Hemp hearts
2 tbsp chia seeds
2 tbsp ground flax seeds
3/4 cups unsweetened almond milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp pure Maple Syrup
dash of Himalayan salt
Mixed berries for topping
Pecans or Almonds for topping
Directions:
1. Heat the almond milk until hot
2. Add the seeds to the milk and stir until well combined
3. Add the cinnamon, maple syrup & salt to the seed mixture and stir to combine
4. Once mixture has thickened, top with nuts and berries
*NOTE: Add shredded coconut flakes and/or nut butter to make this even heartier!
